eFECS IS PRIORITY 1 right now
  • Understand FEC process as THOROUGHLY as possible
  • Review current training material
  • Create getting Started Captivate Screen shot
  • test server imagery from efecs (use imagery from sprint notes)
  • Mock up screen shots into ppt
  • Address instances that were changing and include mock ups
  • Illustrate differences from old and new process?
  • Include imagery for old vs new process on that part of the site?
  • Keep in mind training objectives: 1.Locate and print faculty effort reports by individual report and batch process 2. Become familiar with changes affecting business processes (availability of reports, due dates, how to make adjustments to reports, etc.) 3. Use the eFECS system to identify elements of report that should be reviewed prior to faculty certifying 4. Be equipped to recognize the differences between the current paper based reports and the new online reports 5. Navigate to important support resources including online training, FAQs and step-by-step instructions 6. Become familiar with ASTRA roles/access and how this impacts a user's span of control

Captivate Installation Success!
  • Transcription of MYFD Background & Navigation completed
  • Started to make complete BAR/BSR internal Process Documentation into Captivate as Practice - stopped as the file size was too large and unweildy
  • Going to work through parking lot elearning/camtasia re-dos instead
BAR/BSR follow up
  • Resolved final questions on process-New BAR/BSR process will result in Checking/updating this weekly
  • Responded to Gordon Bock's inquiry re: Org Codes 312010000 thru 3120199999 for budgets 08-1000 thru 08-9999 requested in Dec 08 that was an ongoing issue JK left
  • Worked with Tim McAllister to find out add'l information
  • BAR/BSR printing schedule: Suppression needs to be flagged up to and including 2nd business day of following month (ex: Aug 3rd 2009 was 2nd business day of this month, everything Suppressed or UnSuppressed up to and incl. that day will be for that months scheduled run in September, i.e. Aug. activity that gets printed in Sept. will be included in that.)followed up on additional requests and updated suppression flags
  • Request on additional reports that Fisheries is receiving that they would like to stop receiving - researched into what these are and where he would go
  • Short answer - there is no way to turn these off yet - perhaps address this in the fall (per Tim)
